Meet the Team

Jim Baker


With a passion to help clients optimize their working spaces, Jim is driven to assist customers achieve their desired environments. Beginning in 1991, he gained extensive knowledge of the furniture industry before launching Baker Interiors in 2000, which was sold to Allied in 2004. Innovare was born out of Jim’s desire to offer unique and innovative furniture solutions for all budgets and project scopes. Jim’s mission with Innovare is to successfully deliver satisfaction and convenience. Jim graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He maintains memberships and affiliations with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, Building Owners and Managers Association, and Office Furniture Recyclers Association. He lives in Lansing with this wife and four children, coaching football at Lansing Catholic High School and spending weekends up north, where he golfs with friends and spends time with his family.

Kristen Cossich

Operations Manager

With a love for interior design and space planning, Kristen joined the Innovare team this summer. After graduating from the International Academy of Design and Technology with her Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Kristen went on to volunteer for the Peace Corps in 2011. She spent eight years in Shanghai, China, Vancouver, British Columbia doing Diplomatic Relations. Kristen now lives in Grand Rapids with her two boys and dog. In her free time, Kristen enjoys doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and traveling around the world.

McKayla Guy

Design Coordinator

Born with a creative perspective, McKayla specializing in design. She received her Bachelor’s in Interior Design at Michigan State University and an Associate of Arts at Mott Community College. McKayla has a broad variety of design experience as well as a passion for painting, fashion, graphics, and of course, interior design. In her free time, McKayla enjoys rollerblading and kayaking on a Michigan summer day.

Kristina Lach

Interior Designer

Kristy brings 18+ years in K-12 Education, Corporate Office, and Retail design to Innovare. With licenses/certifications in NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer (2006), Michigan Registered Architect (2010), she is a huge asset to this team. Kristy received a BSBA in Marketing in 1997, her Master of Architecture in 2006, along with a Bachelor of Interior design in 2002. Kristy lives in Howell, Michigan with her husband Adam, daughter Kelsei, and their dog Riley. Kristy loves spending time with her family and friends and has recently taken up figure skating, which has been a lifelong dream!  Kristy also enjoys music and is a part of both the Chancel and handbell choirs at her church in Howell.

Ally Lasch

Digital Marketing Strategist

With a passion for social media and content development, Ally is the creator behind Innovare marketing. Through various opportunities in college and professional experience, Ally has obtained a wide skill set when it comes to graphic design, social media, content development, and email marketing. Ally will be graduating from The University of Alabama in May 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Public Relations and Management. In her free time, she loves watching sports, creating blog posts for her website, and spending time with family and friends.

Sydney Jones

Interior Designer

Specializing in interior design, Sydney’s passion has always been designing. Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design at Michigan State University, Sydney has worked as an event coordinator for IDSO while balancing her education. In her free time, she enjoys working out and trying new recipes!
